Francisco "Paco" Marulanda"When you have many horses you have to remove yourself from the world and let your heart do the talking, to the horse you are riding, you are their all, so make them feel that you feel the same."

Paco is one of the most influential Paso Fino horse breeders in Colombian history. He may not be famous through writing books or being involved in forums, or socializing with the right people at the right time. No, he has done the work that all politicians talk about, reaching out to the people, teaching, advicing, being there when there was noone else.
He, single handedly made Paso Finos popular in the Caribbean coast of Colombia. He formed AJUCA, organised the first ever Fair in Cartagena, 1978, which subsequently created the current Bolivar Paso Fino Association. He brought the best horses in Colombia to Cartagena for once in a life time opportunity ... this has never happened since.
His soft and patient approach to training with horses is fantastic, his techniques unparallel and his results unequalled in the world of Paso Fino.
Paco is available for Seminars & Clinics worldwide or you can request he finds you the perfect horse or at least help you with advice. info@gilgal-horses.co.uk
Julian Dario Marulanda
"Being at one with your horse is all about feeling every twitch, every breath, every thought ... how can you achieve this if you are worried about how you look or cannot trust the horse? There can't be 2 of you, there's only one ... the horse!"

Julian has been blessed with an amazing feel for horses, some of us have to work hard at it all the time, others have it within and this innate force is released automatically on sight of a horse or even on the smell they leave behind.
Julian was brought up with the horses, he knows and understands what's important to them, what they try to say and what they need. They are all different, so treat them with respect.

Franky Marulanda
"A horse, my kingdom for a horse - what wise words ... You will never find such a noble, intelligent, ready to please friend as you will in your horse. However, treat them with all the respect in the world and remember that they are not pets. Your horse is not a cat or a dog, it is a horse, so let it be one"
Has been involved with horses on and off for the past 30 odd years. Have had the proviledge of riding some of the greatest Colombian horses, El Arco, La Juguetona, La Caribana, El Indio, Resorte IV and many more. Became a Grand Champion in Medellin Agust 1976 at the tender age of 9 on La Caribana. Began breaking horses at 12, but when he reached 18 fate took him to England where he found his new home, but rugular visits to Colombia have kept him very much in touch with Paso Horses.
Franky is the European connection to the world of Colombian Paso Fino, his job is to create a new fraternity across Europe to increase awareness of the breed and help its popularity. You'll find him in 2007 in many horse shows across Europe.

Bridget Marulanda
"I faced one of these creatures for the first time in 1989 during my first visit to Colombia, I could not believe what I saw, since then I've been madly in love with these horses."
Although Bridget is not highly experienced in Colombian Pasos, she had a 6 week intensive course at Gilgal in Cartagena during Dec 06 - Jan 07, which has made a huge difference to us in the UK.
Bridget handles our Diary and organises our training and riding contracts.
